To supervise and coordinate all activities related to the tooling of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for rental, ensuring tooling equipment is maintained, available, and deployed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ROV Tooling Supervisor will lead a team of tooling technicians, manage inventory, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- Oversee daily operations of the ROV tooling workshop including maintenance, repair, testing, and preparation of tooling for rental.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule tooling technicians; assign tasks and monitor performance and quality of work.
- Ensure tooling equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical sub‑systems, sensors, manipulators, etc.) is in good working order and meets safety and operational standards prior to deployment.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, functional tests, and troubleshoot failures.
- Maintain accurate records of all tooling maintenance, repairs, modifications, test results, calibration certificates, etc.
- Manage spare parts, consumables, and tooling inventory: ordering, stock control, procurement coordination.
- Coordinate with logistics, operations, and project planning teams to ensure tooling readiness, mobilisation and demobilisation according to project schedules.
- Ensure tooling delivered to clients meets specification, is delivered on time, and returned in acceptable condition; manage damage/loss reporting.
- Support or lead continuous improvement initiatives: tooling design or modifications, process optimizations, cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ / HSE / QHSE) policies and procedures.
- Develop/maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tooling handling, storage, transport, inspection, and workshop activities.
- Liaise with clients/engineers to understand their tooling requirements, provide technical support / proposals for custom tooling or modifications.
- Ensure all personnel are trained and certified (where applicable) in relevant certifications (offshore survival, electrical/hydraulic safety, etc.), and maintain training records.
