Marine Safety Assistant Technician

Job Description

As a Service Technician, you are responsible for the high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of Survitec products. You balance technical expertise with a safety-first mindset, ensuring all work meets regulatory standards while actively contributing to process improvements and a positive team culture.

Candidates without relevant technical diplomas or certificates and a strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of inflatable life rafts and related safety equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements (SOLAS).
Perform necessary maintenance and repairs, including patching, valve servicing, pressure testing, and replacing components.
Repack life rafts efficiently and correctly, ensuring all contents are present and in good working order.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for each life raft serviced.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and servicing techniques.
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Assist with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of life rafts and equipment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Potentially conduct on-site servicing on vessels as required.
