ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • LNG HSSE Management System – Administer and maintain the HSSE Management System
  • Review Work Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Be part of Process Risk Assessment team i.e. HAZOP or PHA
  • Assist with Permit-to-Work Issuance when required, by ensuring possible hazards are mitigated to ensure work will be executed safely
  • Participate in the Permit-to-Work Screening Meeting for high safety risk work
  • Conduct Site Inspections to ensure work is performed safely and according to Permit-to-Work requirements.
  • Safety Inspections – Walk the ground regularly and highlight/initiate areas for improvement
  • Review and endorse Confined Space and Ventilation plans.
  • Assess and endorse Lifting Plan and Work-at-Height Fall Prevention & Rescue Plan.
  • Conduct HSSE related training.
  • Participate in incident investigations.
  • Be part of the internal audit team. Help administer the internal and external audit program.
  • Workplace Safety & Health Committee – undertake the role of WSH Committee Secretary, and follow up on HSE improvement actions and plan.
  • Legal/ Regulatory Compliance – monitor SLNG’s compliance to the requisite latest HSE regulations and laws.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team.
  • HSSE Procedures – help develop and review HSSE procedures and conduct training.
  • Administer and follow up on BBS Observations.
  • Network with neighbouring companies, other similar companies and other organizations, introduce good practices and lessons learnt to SLNG.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc projects/ work/ activities as and when assigned by HSSE Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate shall have at least a Diploma qualification and is a MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer/SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager.
  • Candidate shall have Training & certifications in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Candidate who are Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) is preferred.
  • Candidate shall have at least 5 years of practical experience in Health and Safety in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Candidate shall have basic knowledge on the requirements of Process Safety Management System i.e. SS651:2019 and/or other Safety & Health Management System i.e. ISO 45001.
  • Candidate shall have practical experience in developing and delivering training material/ seminars across all levels of an organisation.
  • Candidate shall be proficient with MS Office applications and be meticulous in processes and procedures.
  • Successful candidate shall also possess the following personal attributes:
  1. A team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills with ability to interact with people at all levels or the organisation. Possess pleasant disposition and has a positive and outgoing personality.
  2. Possess high customer orientation and is tactful and diplomatic.
  3. Ability to write work plans, procedures, and reports in a professional manner
  4. Ability to organize, lead activities at all levels, such as drill/exercise
  5. Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines and multitask.
