Job Description
General Responsibilities
1. *Support to Terminal Manager*
– Assist the Terminal Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of slop processing activities.
– Serve as the primary liaison between the Terminal Manager and staff for operational updates and documentation requirements.
2. *Filing and Document Management*
– Maintain and organize all operational, regulatory, and compliance documents related to slop processing.
– Develop and manage a systematic filing system (digital and physical) for permits, manifests, safety reports, and inspection records.
– Track and ensure timely renewal of certifications and licenses.
3. *Operational Oversight*
– Monitor daily slop processing operations to ensure they meet company standards and comply with environmental and safety regulations.
– Coordinate with various departments (e.g., logistics, compliance, and maintenance) to address operational issues.
– Walk the offshore site to inspect equipment, facilities, and processes, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. *Safety and Compliance*
– Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
– Conduct regular safety audits and report findings to the Terminal Manager.
– Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
5. *Reporting and Analysis*
– Compile and analyze operational data to generate performance reports.
– Provide updates and recommendations to the Terminal Manager for operational improvements.
6. *Team Collaboration and Supervision*
– Assist in scheduling and coordinating team activities to optimize productivity.
– Provide guidance and training to team members on documentation, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
7. *Communication and Coordination*
– Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, regarding documentation and compliance matters.
– Coordinate with logistics teams for the movement and processing of slop materials.
*Key Requirements*
– Strong organizational skills for effective document management.
– Ability to work both in office settings and offshore environments, with physical stamina for site inspections.
– Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to slop processing and offshore terminal operations.
– Proficiency in office software and document management systems.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
– Prior experience in terminal operations, logistics, or similar industries is a plus but not required.
