Job Description

Purpose of the Job
– To support offshore and onshore installation and commissioning for mechanical seal, supply system and expansion joint and assist the seal failure analysis.
– To support Internal and external customers for seal service jobs.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
– Mechanical seal removal, installation and commissioning of mechanical seal, supply system and expansion joint.
– Disassemble and clean the mechanical seal for seal inspection.
– To assist engineer for seal inspection report preparation.
– Responsible for cleaning, polishing metal parts and lapping / polishing of seal faces.
– To assemble and conduct static pressure test for refurbished mechanical seal.
– Packing of mechanical seal after refurbishment.
– Whenever required collect and deliver the goods to customer.
– Keeping records of all incoming and outgoing (refurbishment) mechanical seals.
– To attend site for mechanical seal, Supply system and expansion joint related activities and able to travel whenever required.
– Prepare the site visit report & Assist the engineering department with seal failure evaluations.
– Maintain required end user certification for on-site (onshore and offshore) support.
– To assist engineers with external & internal activities.

Person Specification/Job Requirements
– Diploma qualified in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical
– 5-7 years appropriate engineering experience to similar industry
– Experience of rotating equipment, hydraulic systems or similar
