Job Description

Lead and supervise ROV pilots/technicians during ROV dives and subsea operations.
Plan and execute daily ROV tasks according to project scope and client instructions.
Ensure ROV systems and related equipment are operational, calibrated, and maintained.
Conduct pre-dive checks, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and job safety analyses.
Monitor ROV performance, positioning, and mission progress during operations.
Coordinate with Vessel/Platform management and other departments during subsea activities.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ROV mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Oversee the installation, testing, and configuration of ROV sensors, tools, and survey equipment.
Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tether management systems (TMS).
Verify data and video logging systems are functioning properly and securely stored.
Enforce strict adherence to company and client HSE policies and safe working practices.
Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure all ROV operations comply with IMCA guidelines and project-specific procedures.
Maintain safe working environment within the ROV control room and workshop.
Prepare daily ROV dive logs, tool usage logs, inspection reports, and status updates.
Report equipment issues and maintenance requirements to the ROV Superintendent.
Maintain accurate inventory of ROV spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Compile end-of-project documentation and certification records.
Supervise and mentor ROV pilots, trainees, and technicians.
Ensure adequate team competency and training levels offshore.
Allocate tasks fairly and monitor performance during operations.
Promote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
