About the role

Offshore operations, maintenance and repair of the ROV/Trenching system and ancillary equipment under the direction of the Superintendent/Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities

  1. To perform ROV operations as instructed fand in accordance with approved procedures and the Company Solutions QHS&E Policy & Objectives
  2. Updating of the PMS records
  3. Stock-taking and inventory control of the system spares and consumables
  4. Completion of system and project paperwork (e.g. inventory, weekly ROV/safety reports, dive logs, video logs, etc…) under the direction of the Superintendent or Supervisor
  5. To conduct ROV/Trenching and systems offshore maintenance in compliance with the Company schedules
  6. Good House keeping of ROV/Trenching system
  7. To carry out other tasks as may be delegated by the Company Management or Supervisor

HSE Responsibilities

  1. Be familiar with and comply with the Company policies and procedures at their place of work
  2. Recognizes health, safety and environmental hazards and suggest means of eliminating or controlling these hazards
  3. Must stop the job in the event that they, others or equipment may be exposed to injury /damage
  4. Report all hazards to management whether they are addressed or not
  5. Use the reporting system for reporting all incidents, Near misses and Unsafe acts
  6. Assists with generating, updating and reviewing risk assessments and JSA’s
  7. Participates in HSE Meetings and TBT within their department.
  8. Being conversant with the Project HSE Plan as it applies to ROV/Trenching Operations
  9. Participating in accident investigation where required
  10. Complies with all the Employee responsibilities listed in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  11. When enrolled in the Company sponsored training schemes, every effort must be made to complete the learning modules
  12. Complies with all Company PPE requirements and procedures

Qualification

  1. Shall preferably be qualified in an engineering discipline to a nationally recognised standard or a time served technician with a minimum of 3 years experience
  2. Shall meet IMCA competence criteria by satisfactorily completing assessment as a Pilot/Technician Grade 1 with a nominal minimum of 1 years’ offshore experience and 100 hours piloting
  3. Shall possess extensive knowledge of current safety and quality standards as applied to systems and their requirements in an offshore environment
  4. Shall possess current offshore survival, medical certification and passport

Required certificates

  1. Passport with 2 years validity
  2. ROV competency Cert for position
  3. Petronas Medical (PMU)
  4. Offshore BOSIET/FOET/HEUT Optio approved training
  5. CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System)
  6. TSBB (Travel By Boat Safety)
  7. University, Diploma, trade certificate
