About the job
We are looking for Operations Engineer to act as the primary liaison between Dimension Bid and assigned clients, representing all business lines of the company. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of daily slickline operations, ensuring safe and effective job delivery. The Operations Engineer provides technical expertise in job program development, equipment readiness, and post-job evaluations. Additionally, the role supports client engagement, drives service improvements, and contributes to business growth through upselling and the introduction of new technologies. Collaboration with field crews, internal departments, and clients is key to optimizing job performance and ensuring high service standards.

This is a contract position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Main Responsibilities:

• Represent all Dimension Bid’s businesses and acts as the primary liaison with the assigned client.
• Responsible to manage day-to-day slickline operation, ensuring good service delivery.
• Responsible to provide technical support on slickline job delivery as well as job program write-ups.
• Builds professional relationships across the organization with key client’s staff.
• Accountable for revenue collection, upselling as well as introducing DB’s partner to clients on new technology or new services.
• Responsible for optimizing and realizing the maximum revenue and profitability for the account.
• Planning and coordinating Slickline jobs, including pre-job planning, equipment readiness, and personnel mobilization.
• Supervising field operations to ensure they are carried out safely and in compliance with client requirements.
• Preparing job programs and risk assessments, and reviewing job performance post-execution.
• Providing technical support on Slickline tools such as downhole gauges, memory logging tools (e.g., pressure/temperature surveys), fishing tools, plug setting, and mechanical operations.
• Acting as the key liaison between clients, field crews, and internal support departments.
• Supporting maintenance and QA/QC processes for surface and downhole equipment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Engineering (any field)
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in managing and/or involved in Slickline Operation
• Additional experience as Field Engineer (Memory Logging) is advantageous
• Technical understanding of memory gauges, data interpretation, and well schematic analysis
• Familiarity with offshore operations, safety standards, and reporting requirements.
