Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, and instrumentation.
  • Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major equipment overhauls.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and predictive maintenance to improve equipment performance.
  • Monitor maintenance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage maintenance budget, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor management, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce workplace SSHE standards and conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and execution.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, preferably in biodiesel, oleochemical, petrochemical, or refinery plants.
  • Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, RCA, and FMEA.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS software (SAP).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with plant utilities such as boilers, compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
  • Willing to work in Port Dickson and travel when required.
