Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection work related to the offshore industry including but not limited to wire rope inspections/visual inspections.
  • Perform lifting gear inspections and proof load testing and all ancillary activities related to inspection jobs including but not limited to pre-inspection and post-inspection works.
  • Understand and comply with safety requirements at all job sites.
  • Complete administrative paperwork prior to commencement of work at various job sites.
  • Ensure all equipment required for inspection jobs are prepared in advance, including cleaning, washing parts or buffing tools.
  • Ensure all inspection jobs are done in accordance with clients’ requirements and in line with all relevant and applicable standards within stipulated time line.
  • Compliance to all local and/or international safety regulations and established internal work procedures.
  • Prepare and produce certificates for inspection works done..
  • Assist in setting of rigging jobs
  • Administrative duties including issuing of certificates
  • Able to manage a team
  • Any other tasks as may be reasonably assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in any engineering field
  • Minimum NITEC or its equivalent in engineering discipline
  • Preferably with NDT certifications including MPI, Eddy Current and DPI
  • Preferably with rope access (IRATA) experience
  • Preferably from heavy manufacturing or offshore background
  • CIDB Certificate
  • Work at Height
  • Driving license is required

Skills and Abilities

  • Resourceful, physically fit to lift/carry equipment for jobs
  • Meticulous and independent individual, with sense of initiative and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Good spoken and written English to converse proficiently with clients on job requirements
  • Ability to work in a team or manage a team of 4
