Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for welding engineering / operation including interface with PMT and Client.
  • Responsible for the appropriate support to project, during tender, preparation and execution.
  • Responsible for the good offshore installation execution (high productivity and low repair rates).
  • Monitor the department workload and planning allocation.
  • Work closely with welding, NDT, QC and operation teams to optimize installation productivity and supervision of installation’s cycle time (station or activity wise) / weld cut-out / weld repair / downtime.
  • Support fabrication activities at SEOB for installation aids, spools, risers, internal fabrications,….
  • Monitor project’s cost / schedule to be within allocated budget / dateline including tracking of planned vs actual execution.
  • Provide support for project bidding / tendering (technical, approve cycle time / lay rate and validate commercial).
  • Develop local and new subcontractor / vendors.
  • Build a core welding and project support team. Mentor / develop a larger group of welding, NDT, FJC and QC team to meet international client requirements and expectations.
  • Support the GMT program as Mentor and Leader.
  • Manage KPIs of Production Department for Tendering, Welding, Project support activities, QC, NDT, FJC and Fabrication.
  • Participate to meeting and technical events as part of the H.O.D and Welding Technical Authority.
  • Provide inputs and participate in monthly meetings, OOU meetings, when required.
  • Maintain Production Department’s share drive and Know-how related to Production Department’s activities.
  • Adhere to policies, Management System Operating Procedures, and PMCOM of SEB Group, SEB Corporate QHSE, Operating Company, and Department at all times. Involve in improvement of Departmental PMCOM. Meet KPI’s / deliverables / initiatives set by management.

 

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in any engineering discipline (preferably welding or mechanical or materials or metallurgy)
  • European/International Welding Engineer or AWS Certified Welding Engineer certification or Chartered Engineer in Welding Engineering or equivalent.
  • Member of international bodies and certifications from NDT and Quality are a nice to have.

Relevant Experience:

  • 12 – 15 minimum years of working experience in welding, NDT, metallurgy and QC on EPCI projects.
  • Welding, NDT, destructive testing (including corrosion and fracture mechanics), line pipe and fitting manufacturing, Engineering Critical Assessment (including sour service), inspection for oil and gas industry.
  • Pipeline (carbon steel and CRA including deepwater, SCR) subsea structures (PLET, FLET, ILT, …) and structural offshore / onshore installation.
  • Project bidding / tendering (technical, cycle time / lay rate, and commercial).
  • Worldwide experiences in managing main E&P operators (TOTAL, ExxonMobil, ENI, Shell etc.…)
