This job requires qualified and experienced personnel who have extensive working experience in offshore environment. The incumbent will work in offshore, Sabah waters.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1) GENERAL

A Technician is responsible for multiple systems. He will check his systems weekly in ERP (AX) for new requests and work orders. The Technician plans and decides with his manager when and which Ampelmann system needs corrective or preventive maintenance. Requires international travels outside working hours or week ends. A flexible attitude is and absolute must.

2) EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

Clear and professional communication, preferably in English with colleagues, project owners, suppliers and customers. Able to switch styles of communication suited to the situation, leading to desired outcome in an efficient and professional manner.

3) MASTERSHIP (TECHNOLOGICAL EXCELLENCE)

His main task is to repair and manage the Ampelmann, This task includes: work preparation, risks assessment, toolbox talks and replacement parts. He orders parts orĀ servicesĀ in AX through purchase orders and item requirements. The all-round tasks can consist of electronical (220V/380V), hydraulical and mechanical jobs. He has a good understanding of technical drawings, good problem solver, He ensures all projects are executed according to Ampelmann procedures and with high standard of safety.

4) LEADERSHIP SAFETY

A maintenance Technician takes responsibility for safety in his environment, is in control of the work situation and acts proactively on safety risks and hazards and reports them. Prepares JSA’s and toolbox talks and is able to ‘Stop The Job’ in unsafe situations.

5) OWNERSHIP (TEAM SPIRIT)

Shares relevant or useful information with team members. Actively offers assistance whenever needs. Comes up with ideas to improve joint results and offers support to others to achieve optimum outcome. Must be able to work independently and as a team.

6) INITIATIVE AND CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENTS

Checks and creates Maintenance Manual. Assess the situation, sees what needs to take action himself. Evaluate, review and sees solutions and room for improvement to create a more efficient and safe workplace.

7) DISCIPLINE

Abide by the Ampelmann rules and procedures. Stimulate colleagues to work according to and respect the Ampelmann rules and procedures.
