Job Description
Basic Function:
1. As a Diving, ROV and vessel Authorised Person/Company Site Representative to support the Company Project Team through all project phases.
2. An onshore and offshore position to provide expert Diving and ROV assistance to the Company (SSB/SSPC) on all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide competent diving and ROV expertise support to the Company.
2. Assist the Diving SME to ensure operations meet the defined diving practices for the Company, Malaysian and international requirements. It is important that diving and ROV practices applied by the Company are fit for purpose and consistent with those of our industry partners. Company adopts the diving practices published by the OGP including DMAC and IMCA guidance.
3. Assist in Diving SME in conducting Diving and ROV Safety Management and technical capability audits Audit to ensure diving and ROV contractors are capable of carrying out diving operations to the defined diving practices for the Company. The diving and ROV contractor should successfully complete the audit process before being approved to start operations. Contractors that are not approved can introduce risks that result in the Company failing to meet its objectives.
4. Provide diving and ROV expertise and ensure that all the elements of the Operation Plans are reviewed and approved against Company diving practices. The Operation Plans are a key safety deliverable particular to the operation. They contain the information that demonstrates the specific diving and ROV operation is to be conducted according to Company practices. They should be reviewed, and input given at the appropriate stages of the project management.
5. Participate in project risk assessments identifying risks and controls with Company and Contractor. Hazards that can affect divers and ROV require expertise to assist in evaluating their significance and the suitability of any controls.
6. Verify that Contractors carry out marine, diving and ROV operation in accordance with the approved marine, diving and ROV and operation plans.
7. Ensure all significant changes to the Diving Operation Plan are managed according to the Management of Change (MOC) process and communicated and approved by the SME Diving.
8. Verify through Permit to Work that the diving Contractor has been informed of Concurrent Operations which may affect the fiving operations
9. Verify that the Emergency Response Plan included arrangements to recover fivers, evacuate diving vessels and evacuate diving vessels during Air Diving.
10. To monitor Contractor’s operations to ensure positive HSE management and compliance to the relevant Diving, ROV and Marine legislative standards, as well as compliance to -COMPANY’s HSE Management System (MS) objectives.
11. To communicate all deviations to approved plans to the responsible Company Contract Holder who shall if required refer the item to the relevant technical authority / SME).
12. Monitoring emergency response activities arising from incidents associated with operations and act as Client focal point during emergency response.
