Assistant Cook

Job Description

The Assistant Cook (Offshore) supports the Head Chef/Chief Cook and catering team in the preparation and serving of meals for personnel onboard, including food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, kitchen housekeeping, and maintaining food storage areas. The role involves assisting with ingredient preparation, portioning, stock handling, kitchen equipment cleaning, and ensuring all food is handled and prepared in accordance with food safety, hygiene, HSE, company, and client requirements. The incumbent is expected to maintain a clean and organised kitchen, minimise food wastage, follow instructions from the Head Chef/Chief Cook, and work effectively as part of the offshore catering team in a rotational offshore environment. Requirements: Valid Passport, Seaman Book, Offshore Medical, FHM & Stool Test, PMU Medical, Food Handling Course, T-BOSIET/T-FOET with CA-EBS, Typhoid Vaccination, Hepatitis A Vaccination, Basic Training – STCW, and COVID-19 vaccination.
