Star Energy Geothermal
Senior Technician main work is responsible for overseeing and executing well testing operations, well control and surveillance on geothermal wells. This includes the setup, operation, and maintenance of well testing equipment, data acquisition, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. This involves working on-site, often in remote locations, under high temperature environments.
Main job responsibilities:
- Planning, perform and oversee surface well testing activities including clean-up, flow tests, and data recording.
- Ensure that all testing operations are conducted safely and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Monitor and interpret test results, troubleshoot issues, and report data to engineers and clients.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and operational readiness.
- Liaise with drilling and completion teams to coordinate testing schedules and requirements.
- Complete detailed daily reports, equipment checklists, and job safety analyses.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
General requirements
- Diploma III in engineering preferable in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or chemical engineering.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in geothermal industry preferrable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of well flow dynamics, pressure control, and production operations.
- Proficient in reading P&IDs and operating data acquisition software.
- Fluent in Ms. Office especially excel and power point.
- Good business communication skills (oral and written).
