Marine Mechanical Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Install ship main engines (inboard and outboard), transmission systems, shafts, and propellers.
• Set up steering systems, including steering gear, pumps, and generators.
• Perform regular maintenance on ship engines and mechanical systems.
• Conduct machine alignment checks and adjustments to meet safety and performance standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical specifications.
• Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure proper system integration and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in ship mechanical work or shipbuilding projects.
• Skilled in engine installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read technical drawings.
• Willing to work at project sites.
