As a Control Room Technician – Offshore/Onshore at PT Bukaka Teknik Utama, Tbk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our oil and gas facilities located in Papua. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the production processes, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and taking swift action to maintain optimal performance. This is a contract position, offering the opportunity to work at our state-of-the-art offshore and onshore facilities.

What you’ll be doing

• Continuously monitor the control room instrumentation and computer systems to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions, diagnose problems, and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Coordinate with field operators to ensure alignment between control room activities and on-site operations
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of control room equipment, including analysers, transmitters, and other instrumentation
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all control room activities, including production data, equipment performance, and any incidents or deviations
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Hold a diploma degree (at minimum) in Engineering or Science
• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in operation for oil & gas production OR petrochemical facility
• Have minimum of 3 years’ experience in Control Room as CRT (Control Room Technician) of oil & gas production OR petrochemical
• Preferably have valid SIO (Surat Ijin Operator) from Disnaker or Migas for boiler operation
• Have experience or can demonstrate participation in Job Safety Analysis or Work Permit Risk Assessment, or other equal method oassessment activities, as per below: At least 1 documented experience involving JSA or other type of work risk assessment; OR Provide narrative documentation on how to perform risk assessment, explaining the risk assessment general template (Activities, hand residual risk), with an example about one step in H2SO4 handling activity from IBC tank to permanent tank using pump.
