Welding Engineer

Job Description

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas projects, including offshore, onshore, pipelines, or plant construction.
Certifications: International Welding Engineer (IWE) and CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 is highly preferred.
ASNT Level II（UT/RT/MT/PT） or  level Ⅲ is highly preferred
Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, ASME B31.3, and NACE MR0175.
Technical Skills:Proficient in preparing and reviewing WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.
Hands-on experience with welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT) and their application in welding quality control.
Knowledge of cladding/overlay welding and dissimilar metal welding is an advantage.
Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
