Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of food for cooking by washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and/or cutting when necessary.
  • Assist to set up the workstation with all needed ingredients and kitchen equipment.
  • Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy.
  • Control the freshness and quantity of food ingredients and minimize waste.
  • Cooking order according to specific diet concerns, allergies and safety standards.
  • Estimate expected food consumption.
  • Keep records and accounts of food purchases and supplies.
  • Maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times and under various working conditions.
  • Monitoring other team members.
  • Prepare seasonal food according to company needs.
  • Regulate temperature of kitchen appliances and food freshness.
  • Store kitchenware in the proper area.
  • To ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products.
  • Handling multiple food orders at one time.
