Job Description

General Requirements

• Meets all applicable STCW requirements.
• Minimum 12 months of experience as Second Engineer on offshore vessels.
• Holds a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) recognized by a competent authority.
• Medically fit for offshore duties.
• Proficient in oral and written English.

Training Requirements

• STCW / Basic Safety Training (BST)
• Bridge Resource Management (BRM) / Engine Room Resource Management (ERM)
• PV1
• SFS

Job Description

• Responsible for the proper operation, monitoring, and performance of all machinery and technical equipment during assigned watch.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of main engines, auxiliary engines, purifiers, and boilers.
• Supervise, guide, and follow up with engine crew on the same watch and/or during daytime duties.
• Perform duties in accordance with international standards as set out by IMO regulations, maritime legislation, and established principles of Good Seamanship.
• Maintain high standards of maintenance, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness within the engine room.
