JOB PURPOSE
Support T&I projects and tenders in completing deliverables for subsea installation works (Pipeline and SURF).
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to analysis activities.
Attend internal and/or external training programs to enhance technical and soft skills.
Ensure all work performed complies with internal quality check requirements prior to issuance to Client / MWS.
Ensure all engineering analyses and calculations are carried out in accordance with project specifications, client specifications, and applicable international codes and standards.
Provide review and feedback on detailed engineering deliverables related to T&I engineering.
Attend project and/or tender meetings on behalf of the Subsea Engineering group.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform and/or review the following analyses, at minimum:
Pipeline installation analyses, including start-up, normal lay, laydown, mid-point tie-in, sidewalk, A&R, fatigue, etc.
Riser stalk-on installation with davit lift analysis or riser retrofit installation analysis.
Stinger profile requirement checks and ballast calculations.
Flexible, umbilical, and cable installation analyses, including start-up, normal lay, pull-in, tie-in, etc.
Spool and jumper deployment analyses with optimization of landing stability.
Subsea structure deployment and recovery analyses.
Miscellaneous calculations (e.g. capstan calculation for J-tube pull-in and contingency recovery, curve stability, preliminary crushing, buoyancy design checks, etc.).
All the above analyses to be performed under both static and dynamic conditions.
Additional responsibilities:
Prepare and/or review analysis reports, technical notes, and related documentation.
Perform and/or review additional installation analyses for special case requirements, where applicable.
Provide mentoring and internal training to junior engineers.
Be directly involved with internal and external stakeholders onboard Sapura or third-party vessels during offshore assignments.
Train Subsea Engineers / Graduate Subsea Engineers during offshore assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural / Mechanical) from a recognized Higher Learning Institution.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Minimum eight (8) years of total working experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least five (5) years in Transportation & Installation engineering.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Advanced user of engineering software such as OrcaFlex, OFFPIPE, Mathcad, and AutoCAD.
Well-versed in international codes and standards (e.g. DNV, API, etc.).
Well-versed with various MWS requirements and clients’ specifications.
