Tooling Administrator is responsible for supporting daily operations related to tooling management, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, storage, issuance, and maintenance of tools used in production. This role also assists with administrative tasks to ensure smooth coordination between production, maintenance, and procurement teams.
Additionally, manage all ad-hoc and related duties as required.

• Maintain accurate records of all tools (issuance, return, calibration, repair, replacement).
• Monitor tooling inventory levels and update the tooling register regularly.
• Ensure all tools are properly labelled, stored, and maintained in good condition.
• Track tool lifespan and usage to identify tools due for replacement
• Liaise with suppliers for tooling purchases, repairs, or calibration.
• Work closely with the procurement team to request quotations, issue PRR/PO, and follow up on delivery status.
• Communicate any tooling shortages, delays, or issues to the respective departments.
• Prepare and update tooling-related documents, logs, and reports.
• Generate periodic reports on tooling usage, expenditures, and inventory updates.
• Schedule and track tooling calibration to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Arrange repair or servicing when tools are damaged or unusable.
• Ensure proper handling and preventive maintenance procedures are followed.
• Assist with general administrative tasks for the department.
• Support audits (internal/external) related to tooling documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company SOP, safety procedures, and 5S practices in the tooling area.
• Prepare tools quickly and accurately (using tool presetter) so that machine operators can change them without the need for manual measurement.
• Ensure the tool list matches the requirements of the job order or CNC program.
• Provide accurate tooling information to CNC programmers and machine operators.
• Assist in troubleshooting whenever there are issues related to tool measurement or setup.
