Education:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering disciplines
Experience:
- 10+ years of both project phase & operational experience within the Upstream oil & gas industry as a Reservoir Engineer.
- Experience of Development & Start-up in Deepwater, subsea environment.
- Experience of development of gas-condensate reservoirs.Strong reservoir simulation experience.
- Experience of business planning & compliant reserves reporting.
- Ability to integrate with other disciplines (D&C, reservoir engineering, geoscience)
Technical & Management Skills:
- Fluent in industry standard tools; expertise in Eclipse/TNavigator/IPM/Ecrin.
- Field development planning & optimization, well placement, uncertainty analysis and identification & mitigation of key subsurface risks.
- Own and lead inputs to Basis for Well Design.
- Analytical performance prediction (decline curve analysis, material balance, Pressure/Rate transient analysis).
- Strong understanding of Front-End project deliverables, including flow assurance and project interfaces. Integrate field development across disciple boundaries beyond subsurface.
- Able to take a leading role in TeComs & Project Gate reviews.
- Fluent in reservoir simulation and history matching, PVT analysis.
- Design well tests for exploration and appraisal wells, including the post-well test evaluation.
- Real time drilling experience, monitoring geo-steering and tracking wells against prognosis. Make critical decisions for trajectory adjustment & TD calls.
- Strong business planning/reserves reporting experience; able to bring a clear narrative to key stakeholders and integrate Capex/Opex.
- Strong leadership & team management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills (verbal & written).
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in complex project & operational environments.
- Strong commitment in high standard of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in offshore projects.
- Strong inter-personal, communication and presentation skills, able to work in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability mentor and coach junior staff.
