What You’ll Be Doing:

The Drilling Engineer will involve during planning (drilling program development to ensure well design, safety standards and Company project planning) and during execution. The drilling engineer will heavily involve on planning (well targeting, drilling program development, contracting plan) and also rig site activities, monitoring drilling parameters and ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in planning to Lead Drilling Engineer and executing drilling operations as per the approved drilling program.
  • Monitor real-time drilling parameters and provide technical and engineering support to on-site teams.
  • Supervise and coordinate with service contractors (mud logging, cementing, directional drilling, etc.) to support drilling campaign and program.
  • Ensure safety protocols and environmental guidelines are strictly followed at the site.
  • Assist in preparing daily drilling reports (DDR), cost tracking, and end-of-well reports.
  • Analyze drilling data and recommend operational adjustments to improve performance and reduce non-productive time.
  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings whenever on-site.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of any deviations, incidents, or lessons learned.
  • Provide input on equipment selection, well control procedures, and logistics planning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from reputable university.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in drilling operations, preferably with field/site engineering role.
  • Good understanding basic principles of drilling and main drilling equipment.
  • Valid Well Control Certification (IWCF or IADC) or the latest certification.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure and physically demanding environments.
  • Flexibility to work in remote locations on a rotational basis especially during drilling execution.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with drilling reporting software or reporting (e.g., Landmark, WellView, EDM) is an advantage.
