The Inspector is responsible for the supervision of construction work within surface protection, responsibility, and ensuring that the work meets the contractual as well as operational requirements.

  • Witnessing all relevant tests according to the Company’s standards and accepting only when achieved
  • Be a resource for painting contractors and ensure alignment of acceptance criteria between the company, contractor,s and paint suppliers
  • Conducting official inspections as well as monitoring and supervising work at the Yard, to obtain the best quality and to improve efficiency
  • Confirmthat Galvanizing is carried out according to specification
  • Confirm that TSA/TSZ is carried out according to specification
  • Reporting any delays and issuing corrective action requests to the yard as and when required
  • Verifying that all documentation is updated to as-built status continuously, and upon completion of installation and commissioning
  • Ensure alignment with the structure inspector and acceptance criteria
  • Take initiative for proper and timely action in all respects
  • Take initiative to secure adequate preservation of coated surfaces
  • The Inspector shall ensure a good working relationship between Equinor and the Yard/Contractor
  • Monitor work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to review coating specifications and make necessary improvement recommendations if required
  • Knowledgeable in NORSOK M-501
  • FROSIO or NACE (level 3) Inspector Certificate
  • Prior Offshore Wind Farm project experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction and inspection for Blasting, Painting, Coating, Insulation, Passive Fire Protection, Thermal Sprayed Aluminium, and Hot Dip
  • Galvanized in Oil and Gas
  • Prior experience working in fabrication/shipyards
