Trainee NDT Inspector

Job Description

Minimum ND in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline;
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably in radiation work at least;
Good knowledge in all aspects related to HSSE in carrying out the work;
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Willing to work offshore and onshore.
Reporting to the supervisor and/or any officers nominated by the Company having direct supervision authority.
To assist the Inspector to carry out NDT work on site as assigned in accordance with the requirements of the established procedures and techniques, codes, specifications and written work instructions.
Responsible for the periodical maintenance of equipment and accessories and keep all records updated.
Responsible for the radiation work as allocated by the RPO/RPS as per the local rules and government regulation.
Responsible for the preparation, testing and calibrating of equipment required for scheduled work prior to commencement of work.
Responsible for reporting of any malfunctioned or damaged equipment encountered on site.
To verify and record periodical consumable stock.
Preparation and completion of inspection reports on time.
To perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
